CAT – CAT is the most popular and challenging MBA Entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Managemnt (IIM). The exam is held for admission to over 1000 colleges in India as well as 21 IIMs, IITs, NITs and MNITs. The test consists of three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.
GMAT – There are more than 2,300 graduate business schools worldwide that accept Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores. Candidates are assessed on their analytical writing, integrated reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and verbal reasoning skills. Through GMAT, candidates can get admission to graduate management programmes nationally and globally. A large number of colleges in India accept GMAT scores, in addition to global management schools.
MH-CET – Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) is a computer-based test for admission to two-year full-time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/ MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in Government, University Departments, University Managed, and Unaided Institutes in the State of Maharashtra. Conducted in March for two days, the scores are accepted by some of the best-ranked B-Schools like Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, N L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, Indira Institute of Management, PUMBA, and other MBA colleges in Maharashtra.
CLAT – Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a centralized national-level government entrance test for admissions to 22 national law universities in India. Most self-financed and private law schools in India also use these scores for admissions to the law. Indian public sector companies such as Coal India, ONGC, BHEL, the Indian Steel Authority, Oil India, etc. also use CLAT Postgraduate scores to fill company legal positions. The test is carried out in law schools after the 12th Grade or Higher Secondary Examination for admission to integrated U.G. programs and after Graduation in Law LLM (Law for Master of Laws) in law schools.
IMU CET – Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) is conducted by the Indian Maritime University to choose qualified applicants for admission to undergraduate (except BBA), postgraduate and research courses.
NIFT – The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) offers BDes and BFTech courses at the undergraduate level. It offers M.Des, MFTech and MFM courses at the postgraduate level. NIFT admission to most of the courses is based on NIFT scores followed by situation tests, personal interviews, and counselling.
NID – National Institute of Design (NID) is India’s premiere set of institutes for Design Education. They offer UG, PG & Research Programs in Design. NIDs are the most sought-after school for all design aspirants in India. NIDs are in Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Kurukshetra (Haryana) , Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Jorhat (Assam) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh). The institute comes under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
UCEED – The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam in Design (UCEED) is a centre based exam conducted by IIT Bombay for admission into the design departments of IITs – Bombay, Guwahati, Delhi, Hyderabad and IIIT Jabalpur. The UCEED scores are also used by other private design schools across India.
UPSC CSE – The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a standardized test in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to higher civil services in the Government of India, such as the All India Services and Central Civil Services (Group A and a few Group B posts). It is conducted in three phases: a Preliminary Examination consisting of two objective-type papers (Paper I consisting of General Studies and Paper II, referred to as the Civil Service Aptitude Test or CSAT), and a Main Examination consisting of nine papers of conventional (essay) type, in which two papers are qualifying and only marks of seven are counted; finally followed by a personality test (interview).
IBPS Bank Exams – IBPS PO Exam is conducted every year by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to select eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officers and Assistant Grades in different public sector banks in India.
NDA – The National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination is an entrance examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year for admissions into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA). The NDA Exam serves as a gateway for candidates seeking a career in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
CDS – The Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) is a standardised test conducted annually by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment of officer cadets in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA).
